Enjoy St. Pete’s beloved ArtWalk – now with less walking! Just in time for the worst of the summer heat and rainy season, the St. Pete Arts Alliance announced that free shuttle service is back for their popular Second Saturday ArtWalk, thanks to a new partnership with Star Trolley.
After more than two years without transportation support, the Arts Alliance announced the new service for the monthly ArtWalk will begin immediately, starting with the July 9 ArtWalk from 5-9 pm. A new branded white trolley from Star Trolley will take art enthusiasts on a tour through over 40 galleries and artistic venues spread throughout St. Pete’s many art-forward neighborhoods.

The monthly ArtWalk takes place from 5-9 pm every second Saturday, and it is truly one of the most enjoyable and inspiring ways to experience St. Pete. The city is a gallery in its own right, and the Second Saturday ArtWalk sprawls across it all, showcasing incredible works throughout the Central Arts District, EDGE Business District, Grand Central District, Warehouse Arts District, Uptown Arts District and Downtown Waterfront District.
ArtWalk drives economic support for the arts in St. Pete
Initially, trolley service from Star Trolley will follow the loop continuously during the allotted time, giving event-goers up to an hour in each location to view the art, relax, and enjoy the experience. SPAA says their goal is to eventually add a second trolley when funding becomes available.
As part of an SPAA economic strategy to support and develop small business, the ArtWalk is produced with the support of the National Endowment for the Arts, Creative Pinellas and the Pinellas County Board of County Commissioners. The monthly showcase advocates for the arts, facilitates the growth of our arts community, and drives arts-related economic development in St. Pete.

Many of our ArtWalk studios/galleries celebrate the opening of brand new exhibitions during ArtWalk,” SPAA says. “Discover wonderful surprises, visit your favorite artist, or find a new one. All are waiting for your exploration, conversation, purchases, and inspiration. Make an evening of it and stop for dinner, drinks, or dessert.”
