One of the region’s most beloved artistic cities is hosting one of its biggest yearly celebrations. The 9th Annual Gulfport Fine Arts Festival takes place this weekend, February 10 and 11, in Gulfport Veterans Park. The festival is hosted by the Gulfport Merchants Chamber of Commerce and nestled under the trees along the downtown waterfront.
The juried art exhibit welcomes select artists from all over the country as some of the nation’s most talented creators showcase their works for all to peruse. Activities take place from 10 am – 5 pm each day, though we certainly expect the celebration to continue into the evening throughout downtown.
As one would expect with an event in Gulfport, the park and all of downtown will be filled with art, vendors, music, food, and walkable fun (including the many shops, restaurants, galleries, and bars within walking distance). Gulfport Veterans Park is located at 5350 31st Avenue South, right across the street from O’Maddy’s Bar and Grille to the east.
Gulfport Fine Arts Fest is a boutique festival that showcases artists specializing in all media, and in its nearly decade-long run, it has become just as loved by the artists who take part in it as the guests who fill the tents.
“Those who participate in this annual celebration of fine art tell us they love the festival for three reasons,” festival organizers said. “The intimate gathering, the caliber of the buyers, and a show in a seaside city that celebrates art and artists in every corner.”
Gulfport Fine Arts Festival is free to attend and open to all ages. The festival runs from 10 am – 5 pm on Saturday and Sunday, February 10 and 11. Learn more here.
