Al Lang Stadium is now the official home of the Tampa Bay Rowdies. The Rowdies crew has worked hard to transform the field from a time-share space for baseball and soccer into a pure futbol field. From new seats, a Rowdies store and fresh paint to a regulation size field, here's what you can expect from the new Al Lang Stadium:

From floor to cieling, Rowdies pride is everywhere
New graphics, new paint, newly installed seats and even graphics on the stall doors represent the teams new initiative to immerse the team into the city, and the city into the team.
The Mid-fielder's Club has upped its viewing game
Private staircases now bring you straight to the top of the mid-fielder's club section so you don't block anyone's view. The club added new seats and will have an improved lounge set up behind the bleachers. Where there was once dirt and grass there is now fresh asphalt. This was done for the convenience of fans if the weather turns sour and is also an effort to make an easier path for visiting musicians (as opposed to pulling a tour bus through the mud). The club will also have their own private entrance to avoid the mayhem that ensues at the box office before a game.
The Rowdies staff now has offices inside Al Lang
On gameday you can imagine well over 60 Rowdies employees working the merchandise store, the live broadcast, editing photos, meeting with the team, interacting with fans and then some. The elastic crew that helps the green and gold organization function will now have a more permanent work place. Al Lang Stadium continues the Rowdies efforts of creating philosophical fluidity within the organization. The stadium now holds several offices for full-time employees making the squad a more tangible part of the St. Pete community.
The Rowdies merchandise store will be open year-round, not just on game days
No more long drives to the International Mall or anxious waits until the next home game for your chance to purchase the latest in Rowdies gear. Now you can access your favorite Rowdies merch all week. Official store hours haven't been decided yet but speculative hours are 11am-6pm Monday through Friday.
The Rowdies will now be playing on a regulation size field
Construction crews took out the wall that was once left field at Al Lang and worked hard to expand the size of the field. Could this be the first step toward becoming an MLS team?
Even the locker rooms are decked out
New washer and dryer units have been added, Rowdies branded fitness equipment, projector screens, new lockers and a lounge area will certainly provide the kind of home-comforts that will help nurture a strong soccer squad.
The new scoreboard is no joke
The digital display measures 47'x18' and will help make watching the Rowdies play an interactive and electric experience.
This stadium needs to be filled. Don't miss the Rowdies home opener on Saturday, April 11, at 7:30pm. You can get your tickets by following this link or by calling 727.222.2000.
