Lace up your roller skates, St. Pete – the pier is transformed into a skater’s paradise. The City of St. Pete and Pier Events have joined forces for “Rockin’ Roller Rink.” They’ve transformed the Pier Plaza into a 5,000-square-foot pop-up outdoor skating rink. Rockin’ Roller Rink is open through April 14.
Skate times are available for booking now, with 75-minute sessions for $17 per person, which includes skates (though guests are allowed to bring their own, as well). Located next to the Tilted Lawn and the Splash Pad, Rockin’ Roller Rink is open to all ages. Skate times are 4-9 pm Monday-Thursday, 4-10 pm on Fridays, 12-10 pm on Saturdays, and 12-9 pm on Sundays. During Spring Break, March 9-17, the rink will open at noon daily. Walk-up skaters are welcomed, though reservations are recommended, particularly on weekends.

Of course, there’s more to it than just being a waterfront roller skating rink. Check Rockin’ Roller Rink’s activities schedule for a great lineup of themed skating nights and special events throughout the month of skating, such as Tik Tok Night, Barbie Night, Pride Night, Decades Nights, and other fun activities creating an enhanced skating experience. There will also be live DJs every Friday and Saturday night.
Learn more and get tickets at rockinrollerrinkstpete.com. Of note, skates are available in sizes Toddler-8 through Adult-15, and socks are required for skate rental. With spring break season in full swing, it’s the perfect time to get outside by the water – and also a busy time, making advance reservations a great idea.
