The City of St. Petersburg is developing the Stormwater Master Plan to identify ways to improve stormwater, flooding and sea level rise in the Sunshine City. Officials want the public to be involved in the creation of this master plan.
St. Pete residents are invited to join City staff to learn more about the program during a series of public meetings.

The three-year plan is broken up into several phases. Here’s the outline from the City:
- Phase 1: Identify areas of concern by collecting data from
multiple sources including existing databases, computer
models, field surveys and public input - Phase 2: Design drainage system improvements to enable
effective long-term stormwater management and sea level
rise resiliency
Officials also want residents to inform the plan by identifying regions in the ‘Burg that are impacted by flooding the most.
