The Grand Central District just keeps getting better. Between the announced Floribbean restaurant from the minds behind Urban Brew & BBQ, to the imminent arrivals of Lucy’s Vegan Corner and Valhalla Bakery, the food options are piling up.
Grand Central Brewhouse, a concept featuring a 6,000-square-foot microbrewery, will host a groundbreaking ceremony the first week of December. So yea, there’s a lot going on.

A smaller take-out and delivery concept, Calabash, has quietly launched just across the street from Dog Bar at 2319 Central Avenue. You can order up on UberEats, Postmates, and GrubHub. Calabash has a full online ordering menu available on its website as well.
Bevy of seafood options on the Calabash menu
The menu features tantalizing platters like the robust ox tail, made with garlic, thyme, and scotch bonnet. Seafood features heavily on the menu, too. Five cheese crabmeat au gratin, homemade crab cakes, large fried Gulf shrimp, stuffed flounder, fried clams, catfish, and more options abound.
So if you’re in the mood to eat local, but maybe don’t have the reserve of energy for a night on the town, consider hitting up this new local hub.
