There are certain events worth the trip over the Skyway Bridge, and this big winter carnival is one of them. Sarasota Winter Carnival offers five days of rides, food trucks, vendors, and live entertainment. This family-friendly event will occur at The Mall at University Town Center (140 University Town Center Drive, Sarasota, FL) from January 16 to 20. For the complete experience, check out Winter Carnival on Saturday and Sunday from 12 p.m. to 11 p.m. and Monday between 12 p.m. and 9 p.m., when the live entertainment and food vendors are most prominent.

First-ever street food invasion comes to Winter Carnival

The Sarasota Winter Carnival will have more rides hosted by Penguin Productions than its popular Fall Festival. In addition to the thrills, Winter Carnival will feature the first-ever Street Food Invasion on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday.

The Street Food Invasion includes over 50 food vendors from around the globe, promising to offer excellent fare that will satisfy any hankering: fresh seafood, sizzling street tacos, decedent doughnuts, juicy burgers, and much more.

Event organizers say, “We’re celebrating winter Florida-style,” adding, “We’re allowing everyone to recover after the hurricanes…a little fun and normalcy after a tough three months across Tampa Bay.”
