City Office REIT, Property Markets Group, and Feldman Equities are “actively finalizing plans to bring a 5-star, luxury branded condominium project to downtown St. Pete,” according to a press statement by Mack Feldman.
News of the potential development, which may involve the Waldorf Astoria brand, was first shared by Tampa Tomorrow on Instagram. The announcement quickly spread across social media, garnering attention in several local groups, including Downtown St. Pete.

While one commenter confirmed the project is in the planning stages, they noted that no final agreement had been reached. The proposed site for the development is located at 150 2nd Ave N.

“We are committed to working alongside key stakeholders to deliver a high-quality, architecturally significant development that will become a signature property in St. Petersburg,” Feldman added. Further information regarding the development plans will be disclosed at a later date.
In regards to the parcel at 100 2nd Ave S, Mack Feldman added, “The existing Northern Trust office buildings at 100 2nd Ave will remain intact and operational.” Sources have told St. Pete Rising that a 44-story Waldorf Astoria Residences could rise on the site.
Located at 100 2nd Ave S, the 242,115-square-foot City Center, owned by a joint venture of City Office REIT, Inc. (NYSE: CIO), Feldman Equities, and Tower Realty Partners, is undergoing a comprehensive renovation.
