Rowdies Den officially opens its doors to the Burg on Saturday, April 4, with a grand opening party. It just so happens that their opening coincides with the Rowdies season opener against the San Antonio Scorpions. Total coincidence says this blog.
We were lucky enough to take a quick tour of the new restaurant/bar in the Burg. Though it offers so much to do, it's a bit difficult to categorize it so plainly. Rowdies Den is an arcade, a pure soccer-centric bar, a gourmet restaurant with full liquor service and a sports bar where appetizers rule the menu.

Here's 10 reasons why you need vist the Den ASAP.
1. Cocktails and wine on tap
We're not kidding. Right now, the Rowdies Den has a Rowdies Mule (Tito's Vodka and ginger beer), and the World Cup Margarita (hornitos and grapefruit infused tequila) on tap! On top of that, if you're feeling extremely celebratory, the Den offers a $180 shot of Crown Louis XIII.
2. It's an arcade for adults
The Den has darts, foosball, virtual beer pong, video golf and bowling as well as pool and classic table-top arcade games. The Den also has FIFA 2015 for Xbox One. Expect some excellent tournaments to begin soon. The coolest part of the arcade games is how interactive they are. You can play darts with someone on the other side of the U.S. because each and everygame is connected to the internet. See, you're never really alone at the Rowdies Den.
3. Happy hours on happy hours
The Rowdies Den will host happy hour 7 days a week. Monday through Friday, from 3-7pm, enjoy $5 Rowdies mules, $3 select beers, $5 sliders and more. The same specials apply on Saturday and Sunday from 10am-2pm.
The deals don't end there. Monday nights are college nights, there will be taco Tuesdays, wine down Wednesdays, thirsty tap Thursdays and frisky Fridays which will feature arcade tournaments, live music and prizes.
4. Late night munchies will be satisfied
The Rowdies Den has a special 'munchies' menu until 2am, 7 days a week. From 11pm-2am, you can grab $7 wings, $5 fries, $8 fifty-fifty ball (bleu cheese stuffed tater tots wrapped in bacon) and $9 pizzas.
5. For futbol fans, Rowdies Den fills a serious void in St. Pete
Whatever soccer game you're looking for, the Rowdies Den will have it on one of their 32 HD screens. They will also host watch parties for Rowdies away games and host pre and post game parties when the Rowdies are at Al Lang. Oh, and by the way, the murals are designed by the Vitale Bros, the 'Burg's own!
6. Soon we could see the Rowdies version of the Terrible Towel
That's right. Rowdies Den is working on bringing in some towel swag so dedicated Rowdies fans can swing and spin their green and yellow pride the entire game.
7. The menu is beyond unique

Most sports bars won't put much emphasis on the dishes. Rowdies Den pays careful attention to every aspect of their menu. The desserts are phenomenal. From bananas foster bread pudding with chocolate chips to the Den-wich (vanilla ice cream in a brownie wafflewich), you're sweet-tooth will find satisfaction.
The corner kicks, house tortilla chips with chipotle queso, chives and sour cream are out of this world and the grouper nuggets should be ordered by the bucket. However, the restaurant is most proud of their flip throw fries (fries tossed in gravy with thin sliced rib-eye, provolone cheese, mushrooms and crispy onions).
8. The Rowdies Den will help you engage with The Rowdies

The Den plans on hosting FIFA games pitting St. Pete residents against their favorite athletes. The Rowdies are known to be avid FIFA players in-between games so it may be as difficult to score in the game as it is on the field.
9. Up for a challenge?
St. Pete is about to get its very own "Rowdies Reaper" hot wing challenge. The Rowdies Reaper challenges participants to eat 6 wings tossed in Rowdies Reaper sauce in under 10 minutes with a 5 minute cool off time. If you win, you receive a free jersey and a picture on the hall of fame. The challenges don't stop there. The Rowdies Den is bringing in a unique machine that will give participants the chance to grab tickets out of thin air.
10. Parking
The parking garage might not be specifically for the Den, but its arrival on 1st Avenue North, and its direct connection the garage provides Rowdies fans with a safer and more affordable place to park during games, meals, happy hour or all three.
