A new fast-service restaurant concept coming to Largo is the first-of-its-kind in Florida. Wawa, the popular gas station and convenience store, is opening a drive-thru restaurant at 2530 East Bay Drive in Largo.
The project officially got the green light in late July, and construction is expected to begin soon. The stand-alone drive-thru is only a restaurant and will not have a gas station component, a concept Wawa first began experimenting with in 2020. The company has experienced great success with the drive-thru restaurants and is adding locations all over the country.

Everything on Wawa’s fresh food menu is available through the restaurant, including the breakfast menu, hoagies and sandwiches, soups and salads, wraps, bowls, sides, and pre-packaged snacks. The food will be available for curbside pickup or can be ordered via the drive-thru.
From Wawa’s original release on the new concept: “With an ongoing mission of providing convenience for customers, this innovative model is solely focused on drive thru and curbside pickup service where customers can use state-of-the art technology to quickly order Wawa’s most popular food and beverages, including value meals, combo meals along with coffee and specialty beverages.”
The new Wawa drive-thru building will span 2,036 square feet, to be constructed after demolishing the vacant drive-thru on the site now. Stay tuned for more updates.
