St. Petersburg’s amazing “The Christmas Toy Shop Project, Inc,” is Santa’s Workshop in the Sunshine City, and it will officially reopen on May 4 to begin preparing to make seasons bright in December.
The Christmas Toy Project, Inc. is a non-profit, all volunteer organization with the goal of providing both new and refurbished toys during the holidays to less fortunate children in Pinellas County. They are typically open year-round as dedicated volunteers work to collect and refurbish toys and bikes. After closing operations due to the pandemic, organizers announced the shop would once again open beginning May 4.

Donations are accepted Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, from 9am-2:30pm at Door #6; bicycles at Door #5.
They exist so that no child will be without a Christmas.
Here’s the full announcement:
“REOPENING! We are happy to announce that The Christmas Toy Shop will reopen on Tuesday, May 4th. We are anxious to return and start preparing for this Christmas season. At this time, our hours of operation will be Tuesday and Wednesday, 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. We will accept new and used toys and bikes at this time. We are eager to return to the Toy Shop and make this a very happy Christmas for our children.”
Volunteers followed up with the following information:
“Saturday donations will continue for the month of April and on May 1st at Door 6 from 10 a.m. to noon. Beginning Tuesday, May 4th, donations will be accepted during normal business hours: Tuesday and Wednesday, 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.”
