Massive Tacos & Tequila Fest returns this May with 100+ tacos, lucha wrestling and more

One of St. Pete’s most popular foodie festivals is back and bigger than ever this May, bringing two days of authentic tacos, premium margaritas and great live music to Vinoy Park. The St Pete Tacos & Tequila Festival makes its grand return on Friday, May 9 and Saturday, May 10, this year featuring dozens of taco vendors, lucha libre wrestling, mariachi bands, live mural paintings, and even a taco eating competition.

The sprawling two-day festival is one of the region’s biggest food and drink festivals. In addition to 100+ taco options, there will also be tons of craft margaritas, palomas, and other cocktails, as well as tons of Mexican and local craft beer. In fact, there will be more than a dozen distilleries and breweries on hand, and a margarita battle for VIP ticket holders to sample and vote on.

For a limited time, get 50% off GA tickets for either day with the code ILTB50. GA tickets are $7 in advance ($3.50 with code ILTB50, $10 day of), and include access to the festival grounds and attendance for wrestling and all live music. Kids 13 and under get in free.

This year, there are two VIP ticket options available. The VIP Matador Tickets ($39 in advance, $45 day of) come with exclusive access to the Margarita Battle, as well as the Matador Cantina Area with extra amenities, beer and spirit samples from more than a dozen distilleries and breweries, a private tent area with tables, executive air-conditioned restroom trailer, and an additional private beer and cocktail bar. The VIP area also includes additional food options, a tequila bar, and a frozen drinks bar.

The Dick’s Last Resort VIP Admission ($59 pre-sale only) includes all of the above, plus pork tacos and nachos from Dick’s Last Resort, and two free premium cocktails from Dick’s Last Resort. Learn more and get tickets here.

Hosted by Brewed Life, this is one of Tampa Bay’s largest taco and tequila festivals at one of the most beautiful waterfront parks around. Friday’s festivities run from 4-10 pm, while Saturday’s take place 12-8 pm.

Festival brings together massive collection of Tampa Bay’s finest food

The annual gathering of taco-centric food trucks and restaurants is unrivaled in the region, with an incredible lineup of great dishes coming to Vinoy Park. The stacked list includes favorites like Los Homies Taqueria, Johnny Nevada’s, Salsa My Love, Fui Yo Mexicana, Quiero Mas Tacos, and Hail Mary’s Tacos n Tingz.

The festival will also feature delicious seafood from The Happy Snapper, authentic street corn from El Roy’s Elotes, and plenty of ice cream, donuts, Italian ice, coffee and other tasty sweets. The full list of vendors can be found here.

In addition to global brands like Milagro, local stars like Preez Distillery, 3 Daughters Brewing, and Kozuba & Sons Distillery will be among the double-digit distilleries and breweries showcasing their spirits and beers.
