I love Simply Delicious. This hole in the wall sandwich shop typically has a huge line at the order window as soon it is opens, and it’s for a good reason. Their gigantic Cuban sandwich is a pure family feast, but if you’re like me you take on that savory monolith Dagwood style. The team behind hops 2.0, a wonderful bar right between Greenlight Cinemas and The Scott at The Cordova Inn at 225 2nd Ave N, just announced they’re partnering with the restaurant to expand their menu. It’s now available to enjoy.
The photo Hops 2.0 chose to use to celebrate the partnership was of course the giant Cuban sandwich. I am drooling, friends. I do adore their hub just outside the Historic Kenwood neighborhood, but having this sammie within walking distance of my apartment is a dream come true. Dreams don’t get any bigger than Simply Delicious’s Cuban sandwich.

On its own, this second iteration of Hops on 2nd Avenue North is one of the best hangout spots in the ‘Burg. They have a huge indoor area (with pinball machines) with cozy couches to lounge on. They also have a pretty expansive outdoor seating area, and one of the best bar staffs in the region.
In case you weren’t aware, Hops also has dedicated parking spots in the back. That is clutch for any downtown establishment. You can also visit Simply Delicious at 2128 9th Ave North. I highly recommend you call ahead with your order: (727) 327-0296.
