St. Pete’s most dog-lovin’ brewery is throwing a celebration in honor of pups across the city on Labor Day Weekend. Pinellas Ale Works is hosting Pints for Paws this Saturday, September 3 from 3-7 pm, for a beer, food and fur-friendly fundraiser and party.
In addition to the usual good beer and puppy vibes, PAW is bringing in food trucks and throwing a dog-themed market to celebrate the occasion. And most importantly – it’s for a good cause, as sales of a special Pet Pal beer will go toward the Pet Pal Animal Shelter down the street.

Pints for Paws will bring in live music all day in the PAW beer garden, plus local vendors, food trucks, beer releases, raffles, award winning beer, and the always-present pawsitive vibes. In addition to PAW’s permanent food truck Jim’s Eats and Treats, the charity extravaganza will welcome in ChicaBoo Acai’s “dangerously delicious” bowls, and Hawaiian-style cuisine from Jak’s Ohana.
Vendors for the doggy market include Pet Pal, Pooch Natural Living, Davenport Dogs, Tater and Tots Barkuterie, and Dapper & Dainty Dog.
PAW may be best-known in St. Pete for being so dog friendly, but don’t sleep on what’s on tap at the bar. PAW makes some of the best beers in town, which is saying a lot for a city like St. Pete. They have more than 40 taps of the good stuff, and the list is constantly rotating with creative new brews. On tap as of now, for instance, is a barrel-aged salted caramel pretzel porter, a coconut horchata ale, and a mango habanero sour. Regulars go for the always-on-tap Milk Bone Stout.
