Oktoberfest season is coming to a close, 3 Daughters Brewing is sending the season out in style this weekend. The brewery is hosting a gigantic, free and family-friendly Oktoberfest party this Saturday, October 26, from 11:30 am – 6 pm in its tasting room at 222 22nd Avenue South.

The sprawling celebration replaces the previously scheduled Oktoberfest Beer Festival in Albert Whitted Park, which was canceled due to the hurricanes. The brewery says they hope this free version in their tasting room can be an opportunity for the community to come together and get an escape from all the hardships of the last several weeks.

The lineup for this community Oktoberfest celebration is truly outstanding, and it also includes what might be the best beer-drinking special we’ve seen all year.

  • German food specials
  • Tons of German beer on tap
  • Live Bavarian bands: The Key Tones, and The Brussel Sprouts Polka Band
  • Costume contests
  • Stein holding competitions
  • A beer-themed vendor market
  • Yard games

For those who are thirsty, we highly recommend their $18 stein special. It includes a 28-oz commemorative Oktoberfest stein that is yours to keep, and it comes with a full fill of beer, and a free pretzel necklace to snack on while you drink and dance. Plus, you get unlimited refills of the 28-oz stein for only $10 until the party ends at 6 pm.

The Oktoberfest celebration is open to all ages and is free to attend. And if you’re feeling like some Halloween fun this weekend too, stick around after the festival for a special Halloween Black Light Silent Disco at 3 Daughters from 8-11 pm.
