One of the best things about living in the Burg is that St. Pete always take care of St. Pete. It’s a community of support, giving, and togetherness that keeps the city special. And with today being National Nonprofit Day, we wanted to share some of our favorite ways to keep that spirit alive and support some incredible nonprofits and charitable organizations in St. Pete.
Admittedly, we were inspired when we saw what Power Design (St. Pete’s largest private employer) has done through their Project V5, which has already donated to more than 100 charities in 2023, all chosen by their staff. Since the project launched in 2007, it has given an average of $1 million annually to a total of more than 1,000 charities.

That number is good evidence of just how many wonderful nonprofits there are to support, so rather than list them all off, our staff is sharing some of our favorite ways to volunteer and lend support. We hope this will inspire you to get involved and find a non-profit or community organization you love. And a reminder – these are just a few of the MANY incredible organizations in St. Pete and the Tampa Bay Area doing amazing work. Please share your favorites in the comments! We also recommend checking out the City of St. Pete’s guide to finding ways to volunteer.
