Academy Prep is one of the many bright spots in St. Petersburg. The school’s mission is to inspire and empower students qualifying for need-based scholarships. Middle school students are put through a rigorous curriculum and provided ample graduate support.
We have three campuses located in the urban centers of St. Petersburg (south), Tampa (Ybor City) and a third campus in Lakeland. The numbers don’t lie, AP’s engaging educational philosophy ensures success.

70% of Academy Prep alumni are now college students or graduates, and an additional 10% are proud members of the armed forces.
Now, two local nonprofits are banding together to help nourish and expand upon student’s creativity. Keep St. Pete Lit just announced a partnership with Academy Prep.
Keep St. Pete Lit will offer creative writing classes twice a week to students beginning January 2020.
“We will also be helping to build up their library (more coming on that next week),” wrote Keep St. Pete Lit in a Facebook post announcing the partnership. “We can’t wait to share our love of reading and writing with their students. Thank you City of St. Petersburg, Florida USA, Pinellas Community Foundation Venture Philanthropy Fund, 100+ Women Who Care- Pinellas County, and our supporting members who make this programming possible. Read and Write on!”
