St. Petersburg’s largest open-air event, Halloween on Central, presented by Grow Financial Federal Credit Union and in partnership with the Grand Central District, EDGE District, the City of St. Pete, LocalShops1, and St. Pete Pride, is returning this spooky season. Those interested in sponsoring the event can learn more here. For local businesses/creatives who wish to become vendors can learn more on the event’s website.

On Sunday, October 27 from 12pm-5pm, attendees can stroll and roll along nearly two miles of the city on Central Avenue from 31st Street to Dr. MLK Jr. (9th) Street and experience the heart of the Sunshine City. Trick-or-Treaters and festival-goers will see the city from a unique perspective allowing them to rediscover their favorite local businesses and interact with the community in a fun, healthy way – without worrying about car traffic.

Halloween on Central is a St. Pete staple

“This event has quickly become a St. Pete staple. With over 100,000 attendees the last few years, it’s the perfect all-community gathering,” said Roger Curlin, Executive Director of the EDGE Business District Association. “Now in its fourth year, this event allows kids to be kids and adults to feel like kids again. We know visitors and residents from all over the county will enjoy St. Pete’s biggest Halloween celebration.”

There are a variety of ways to get to this 22-block event. Whether it’s the award-winning SunRunner’s multiple stops along the festival, biking, scootering, walking from nearby neighborhoods, carpooling, or parking nearby (the Tampa Bay Rays have made their lots available for Free all day) – the planners want the community to come enjoy a wonderful day. PSTA and the SunRunner have stepped up for the community with a sponsorship and providing free fares for the SunRunner on October 27th.

Tons of family-friendly activities for all to enjoy

“Besides a massive thank-you to our title sponsor for two years running, Grow Financial Federal Credit Union, whose financial support and investment are key to producing this event, we also wanted to recognize our Diamond sponsor, T-Mobile (bringing us T-Fiber), whose commitment to this event and the community is instrumental in Halloween on Central returning in 2024,” said Chris Arnold, Executive Director of the Grand Central District Association. The event is seeking additional sponsors to help produce this event, assure its longevity, and raise funds that are reinvested in improving St. Pete’s historic Central Avenue business corridor.
