The Burg’s iconic Flamingo Resort will officially close its current location, according to a report by Watermark Online. Flamingo’s manager Jon Jusino made the announcement at the club. In the Flamingo’s place, new apartment towers will rise.

Don’t worry, the GM noted that The Flamingo would reopen in a new location, though the specific spot is still TBA.

The Flamingo Resort features 120 Hotel Rooms, the Flamingo Grill & Cafe, 9 On-Site Shops, 7 Bars and an 80,000 Gallon Pool. It’s also long been one of the Burg’s more lively nightlife spots. The BLU Room Night Club at the resort features live DJs, light shows, and The Flamingo Royal Players Cabaret Show.

July 31 will be the Flamingo’s final day of operation at 4601 34th Street South, according to Watermark’s report. On August 6, an auction will take place on the property.

The apartment building going up will stand eight stories and feature more than 240 units.
