Unholy Comedy Show, a production spearheaded by acclaimed queer comedians Lauren Gray and Hugh Carey, promises an electrifying evening of delightfully sinful stand-up comedy, audience tarot readings, music and more, all set within the immersive confines of the Zubrick Magic Theatre in Downtown St. Petersburg, Florida, on June 21, and June 22, 2024.
Winner of the 2023 Creative Loafing’s Best Of The Bay’s Critic’s Choice award, Unholy Comedy Show blends humor with a dip into the occult as your hosts lightheartedly provide live audience tarot readings between comedy sets, but not before devilish priests and nuns guide attendees through confessionals before indulging them in a sinful spectacle. Notably, the show marks its second year, consistently selling out under the dynamic hosting of comedians Hugh Carey and Lauren Gray (as seen on Roast Battle with Jeff Ross at the Comedy Store).
Headlining our special Pride edition of Unholy Comedy is rising star Zach Zimmerman. Recognized as a 2023 Vulture Comedian You Should and Will Know, Zach will be bringing his sharp wit and accolades from appearances on The Late Late Show with James Corden, Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, and After Midnight with Taylor Tomlinson.
Zach Zimmerman is also a regular at the Comedy Cellar in New York, and his first comedy album “Clean Comedy” debuted on the Billboard Top 10. Zach’s writing has been published in The New Yorker, McSweeney’s, and The Washington Post; and Zach’s first book Is It Hot in Here? (Or Am I Suffering for All Eternity for the Sins I Committed on Earth?) was named a Barnes & Noble Best Book of 2023.
The Unholy Comedy Show invites you to partake in its devilishly delightful debauchery. Come, as you are! We’ve got a night for you!
