Lace up your roller skates, St. Pete – for one full month this spring, the pier is being transformed into a skaters paradise. The City of St. Pete and Pier Events announced today that “Rockin’ Roller Rink” is coming to the St. Pete Pier March 9 – April 9, turning the Pier Plaza into a 6,000-square-foot outdoor skating rink.
Skate times are available for booking now, with 75-minute sessions ranging from $13-20, which includes skates (though guests are allowed to bring their own, as well). Located next to the Tilted Lawn and the Splash Pad, Rockin’ Roller Rink is open to all ages. Skate times are available beginning daily at 10 am, and open late on weekends. “Cheap Skates” times are available Monday to Friday from opening to 2pm
The rink has a soft opening on Thursday, March 9 from 4-9 pm, followed by a Grand Opening Friday, March 10 from 10 am – 9pm, after which Rockin’ Roller Rink will be open every day (weather permitting) through April 9. Walk-up skaters are welcomed, though advance reservations are recommended, particularly on weekends.
