Join Florida Humanities and the Studio@620 for an evening of community, music, and storytelling. Recovering from a natural disaster is a heavy time, and being together to share our experiences through words or music are ways to more deeply connect with our neighbors and lift each other up.
During this event, you are also invited to share your experience of the storms by recording your story in a letter or video. Preserving the stories of individual experiences broadens our understanding of the strength, adaptability, and resilience found throughout Florida communities. Stories collected during this special oral history initiative will be showcased in a future program, and shared through Florida Humanities’ “Dear Stranger” letter-writing project. Those wishing to participate in the letter exchange must submit their stories by April 30, 2025.
