The Studio@620 welcomes ‘bloom and residue‘, presented by projectALCHEMY, St. Petersburg’s most innovative dance company and artist Rebekah Lazaridis.
Blurring the line between observer and participant, ‘bloom and residue’ calls upon audience members to take part in a sensory feast where dancers seamlessly intertwine with a bewitching visual narrative. This unique dance experience will be presented amidst a creative installation for a fully creative immersion.
A wholly symbiotic relationship between Alexander Jones and Rebekah Lazaridis exists within the world they’ve created. Inspired by the resurrection plant Rose of Jericho, Lazaridis crafts the backdrop for the spellbinding movement choreographed by Jones. Inspired by themes of cycles, transformation, and the remnants we leave behind, bloom and residue invites audiences to explore the interconnectedness of movement and art in an immersive environment. Guests can see the art installation in progress during Second Saturday Art Walk on March 9, 2024 from 5:00-9:00 PM. The performative elements of bloom and residue will premiere two weekends later on Thursday, March 21st through Saturday, March 23rd at 7:30p at The Studio@620.
