All About Town – Trolley Tour of Northeast St. Petersburg

October 8 @ 10:00 am - 12:30 pm
The first in a three-part series, this tour will visit neighborhoods of Northeast St. Pete.

St. Petersburg is more than our dynamic downtown; it’s a city of fantastically unique neighborhoods, each with its own flavor and flair. Now you can tour the many boroughs of the ‘Burg with historian Monica Kile on one of three unique tours offered in October and November aboard the Star Trolley.

Throughout the course of this three-part tour series, we will explore the mysterious Driftwood, the hidden Lang Court, or the one-of-a-kind Pink Streets neighborhoods. You might learn the story of historically African-American main streets like 22nd Street South in the Deuces, or see how the interstate and baseball stadium disrupted life in the Gas Plant district. On one tour we’ll see the stone mansions of Allendale; on another – the Mounds at Maximo. Or you might see the city’s first synagogue or the old Gangplank speakeasy at the Jungle Prado. No matter which tour you choose, you’ll learn about St. Pete’s diverse and fascinating history and see sites that only a longtime local would know.
