The Studio@620 welcomes the return of local actor and playwright Kennedy Engasser as she presents A Second Night of One Acts. You may recall her first night of one act plays from Summer 2022 and her recent fully staged play this past spring were both incredibly well received by theatre lovers, so you definitely will want to be here for this night of four one act plays. You have two chances, Saturday August 5 at 7 PM and Sunday August 6 at 2 PM.
General Admission $15 / Studio 620 Members $10
Synopsis of the shows:
“It’s All Under Control”: After being informed by the pilot of a public aircraft that the plane is slowly crashing, three flight attendants attempt to keep the passengers from finding out that they are falling to their inevitable doom, while also dealing with their wacky requests.
“Blissful Impotence”: After discovering that his close friend, Frank, has been diagnosed with erectile dysfunction, Griffin drags him to what he believes to be an
ED support meeting. It is not, however, an ED support meeting. It is a cult. The two men now have to find a way to escape.
“Banjos”: Based on a real story: Follow the dishwasher of a local restaurant along on his journey as the post-convict cooks tell him crazy stories about their lives and unbelievable, yet very real, shenanigans ensue.
“One Room”: Five women share a one-bedroom studio apartment. Things are cramped, but the best friends find a way to work it out. That is, until Olive gets a new job and has to move out. Aria is not happy about this news and will do any and everything in her power to keep Olive there.
