The high-level senior men’s tournament at the St. Petersburg Tennis Center draws players from throughout Florida, several states nationally and even some foreign countries. There’s no admission charge throughout the week to watch many of the U.S. Tennis Association’s highest ranked players in their age groups ranging from 55-90s. The large Midtown public tennis facility has featured many historic tournaments over the years, including Chris Evert’s first professional title. Matches start after 9 am and continue into the afternoon. Age divisional finals will take place Friday and Saturday (March 1-2), and possibly Sunday depending on possible weather delays during the week. Sandwiches, soft drinks and water can be purchased at the venue. Free parking is available.
