The Grand Central District of St. Pete welcomes a new culinary gem with the grand opening of Crisp Waffle (2414 Central Avenue), a Belgian Waffle café specializing in authentic Liège waffles. Its debut has been a long time coming, and it joins a great block that also includes Floribbean, Lost & Found, and Urban Burg Eclectic Home Decor and Gifts.
At the heart of Crisp Waffle’s menu are their drool-worthy Liège waffles, crafted from dough imported directly from Belgium and featuring caramelized Belgian Pearl Sugar. These waffles are a testament to authentic Belgian baking traditions and provide a perfect base for a host of delicious toppings and fillings.

Grand Central’s new sweet spot
Crisp’s menu also caters to those looking for something a little more savory. The café serves unique creations such as egg waffle sandwiches, an indulgent eggs Benedict waffle, and the Monte Cristo on the Beach sandwich. This menu standout features a delectable combination of turkey, Black Forest ham, melted cheese, and berry jam.
The waffle shop also offers ice cream from Yoder’s Southern Creamery. The rich, creamy ice cream complements the caramelized sugar in the waffles, creating a dessert experience that is both decadent and satisfying.
Cold brew and smoothies are on the menu
You can’t have waffles without some coffee. Crisp offers cold brew, lattes, and more tasty caffeinated beverages. Guests can also order from their smoothie menu, or indulge in any of their several acai bowl options.
