One of the most exciting sites in the Sunshine City is Tropicana Field. Much has been discussed about what should be done with in the future. On Monday, July 27, the City of St. Petersburg will issue a Request for Proposals (RFP) seeking developers for the Tropicana Field site, 86 acres located between 5th Ave. S and 1st Ave S., and 16th Street S. and Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. St.
Mayor Rick Kriseman, Deputy Mayor & City Administrator Dr. Kanika Tomalin, City Development Administrator Alan DeLisle, and Urban Affairs Director Nikki Capehart will hold an event on Monday, July 27 at 11:00am at City Hall to elaborate on the RFP.

If Enchant Christmas can continue to come back year after year, we’d be cool with it.
In the last few months major openings have occurred all around Tropicana. The ‘Burg’s first Cat Cafe made its debut, the Tru by Hilton Hotel opened, a new authentic Filipino restaurant plans to open, Bodega is making the (short) move to a bigger space down the block, and Boyd Construction is freshening up the office spaces above Enigma.
