The winner for SPMOP’s Photo Laureate 2024 will be announced at 7 pm on May 11th at Morean Arts Center during the opening of the annual nominee exhibition. The finalists are Christa Moody, David Moreno, José Ramirez, Ric Savid and Marian Tagliarino. They are all local photographers with well-established artistic backgrounds and unique photographic languages in multiple genres ranging from photojournalism to environmental portraits and photo collage to street photography. The new Photo Laureate will document life in Tampa Bay for a year and end their tenure with a solo exhibition at the Florida Museum of Photographic Arts.
