Pickleball courts will pop up on the St. Pete Pier for 2 months

Looking for something new to try at the St. Pete Pier this winter? Get ready to serve, smash, and rally at Pickleball on the Pier, a first-ever pop-up event powered by St. Pete Athletic (opening in 2025 in the Warehouse Arts District). From January 17 to March 16, 2025, the iconic pier will transform into a pickleball haven, offering locals and visitors alike the chance to hit the courts with stunning waterfront views.

Whether you’re a seasoned pro or a beginner, the event welcomes players of all skill levels. You can drop in any day of the week for expert-led sessions or grab a paddle and play independently. The courts will be open daily, with hours running Sunday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and extended hours on Friday and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Affordable pickleball fun in the Sunshine City

The best part? It’s affordable. For just $5, you can play all day, and if you need equipment, you can rent paddles and balls for an additional $5.

The event takes place by the Splash Pad, located at 660 2nd Ave NE, right at the heart of the St. Pete Pier, making it an easy stop for anyone visiting the waterfront area.

No reservations are needed, so grab your friends or family, head down to the pier, and get ready for a game of Pickleball against the backdrop of St. Petersburg’s beautiful waterfront.
