The Crislip Café has added a touch of Tuscany to the heart of St. Pete with the debut of its buchette del vino—a charming wine window inspired by Florence’s rich history. Nestled in the historic Crislip Arcade (645 Central Ave), this one-of-a-kind feature invites visitors to indulge in a sip of European elegance.
A buchette del vino is a small arched window, traditionally built into the walls of aristocratic palaces in Florence. These unique openings, often ornate and no more than 12 inches tall, were once used to pass wine to locals and travelers alike. Crislip Café’s owner, Jennifer, and her daughter Melia, who manages the café, fell in love with the tradition during a recent trip to Tuscany. They decided to bring this enchanting concept back to Pinellas County, blending it seamlessly with the historic charm of the Crislip Arcade.
