Zazon Bites bringing jibaritos to downtown St. Pete

Zazon Bites bringing jibaritos to downtown St. Pete

Zazon Bites will soon open inside a food hall along with concepts such as Shiso Crispy and Carne D’Vino. Shiso Crispy was the first concept to announce its move to the space formerly occupied by Pinot’s Palette.

The purveyors of jibarito and cachapas have been serving the Sunshine City for some time now as part of the EDGE Collective. Cachapas, for those who don’t know, are crispy corn cakes typically stuffed with cheese. The jibarito is a sensational plantain sandwich frequently filled with garlic pork and salsa golf (a sauce made of a combination of mayonnaise and ketchup).

Zazon Bites impresses at The EDGE Collective

This assemblage of quaint concepts operate out of shipping containers in a lot next to Bodega.

This small introduction to the St. Pete community has proven successful for other businesses here in the ‘Burg. Maddie’s Cakes and Burg Cookie Company, two dessert-centric concepts that teamed up inside one shipping container, just opened their own brick and mortar location just a few blocks down from The Collective.

Shiso Crispy and Carne D’Vino have both enjoyed some success at The EDGE Collective, as well.
