Yummé, a healthy shake spot, opening soon in West St. Pete

Yummé, a healthy shake spot, opening soon in West St. Pete

Assortment of health chocolate milkshakes

Go West, they said. If it’s for a healthy shake, you bet I’m hitting the road. A new concept, Yummé, is setting down roots at 2942 49th Street North, just a short saunter from The Burg Diner.

Yummé is “a community based business that serves healthy shakes, energizing teas, coffees, guilt free waffles and donut options of fun flavors,” said owner Xaviera Zientek in an email to I Love the ‘Burg. “My husband and were born and raised in St. Pete (2nd generation) so having a small business to support our community is our passion.”

Coffee waffles on the menu

The options here look dazzling. Teased menu items include a coffee, almond, and peanut butter protein waffle topped with fresh blueberries, a brownie batter milkshake (under 220 calories), and a strawberry chocolate confetti shake (24 grams of protein).

Yum|mé is also going to be serving energy boosting aloe-infused teas.

The concept will be fitness-focused. Once it’s safe to do so, Xaviera and Dan Zientek will provide free fitness classes to create “a united vibe” at Yum|mé. Wellness coaching will also be an added feature for customers.

Teas, shakes, and snacks in West St. Pete

“We live on the west side of St. Pete and always were frustrated that there was never anything healthy, nothing but franchises surrounded us,” said Xaciera. “It was time to create new neighborhood-type vibe smoothie shop. We are going to try and keep the place ‘Burg style with a flair.”

An official opening date is still TBA. Follow Yummé on Instagram for updates.

St. Pete’s first shot-centric bar will open on Central Avenue this weekend, and will offer more than 200 different craft shots — and some are even set on fire.
