Will Packer was born in St. Petersburg, FL in 1974. The celebrated Film and Television producer is behind some of the most watched pieces of pop culture in the last 20 years. His producing credits include the amazing comedy Girls Trip (set for a sequel), That Girl Lay Lay, Ride Along, Night School, Roots, Stomp the Yard and No Good Deed.
It will be his first involvement with the Oscars, which will air live on ABC and broadcast outlets worldwide on Sunday, March 27, 2022.

Tampa middle school featured during nominations

This isn’t the region’s only inclusion in the Oscars. The nominations for Best Animated Feature were read live from the Thaddeus M Bullard Academy at Sligh Magnet Middle School in Tampa.
