Italian Food & Wine Festival at Albert Whitted Park

Wings over Weedon
During the autumn migratory birds begin to arrive to overwinter in Florida or use our state as a temporary stopping ground to rest and refuel along their flights to farther off destinations. This time of year affords birders the opportunity to see many species that aren’t found here year-round or very often at all. Out of the Darkness Walk
When you walk in the Out of the Darkness Walks, you join the effort with hundreds of thousands of people to raise awareness and funds that allow the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) to invest in new research, create educational programs, advocate for public policy, and support survivors of suicide loss. Artist Talk: Brookhart Jonquil at Museum of Fine Arts
Each year, the Museum of Fine Arts celebrates the season with a holiday tree placed in the Great Hall, decorated with original pieces created by a leading contemporary artist commissioned for the Museum’s holiday celebration. Join this year’s selected artist, Miami-based sculptor Brookhart Jonquil. Jonquil was born in Santa Cruz, California and lives and works in Miami, Florida. He received a Masters of Fine Arts degree from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2010, as well as a Bachelor in Fine Arts and Bachelor of Arts in Art History from the University of Arizona in 2007. 2-3pm. Westward Ho to Historic Kenwood Tour
Tour participants will experience one of the country’s premier bungalow neighborhoods on a tour led by resident guides excited to show off their neighborhood. Kenwood is one of the ‘Burg’s five National Register designated historic districts and the neighborhood is also actively working to become a local historic district.
