Chinese Warriors of Peking
This new production is filled with high-intensity martial arts and breath-taking acrobatics, set during the Ming Dynasty (1368–1644), to tell the tale of two rival martial arts disciplines competing in the ancient Chinese capital of Peking. Under the direction of Qui Jian, the Chinese Warrior of Peking provides a culturally enriching experience filled with juggling, acrobatics, weapons handling, and live stage combat. 8-10pm.

Twenty-Sixth Annual Tampa Bay Times Festival of Reading
Tampa Bay area’s largest annual Book and Author event is back for it’s 26th year. FREE event showcasing authors, booksellers, and exhibitors. Come enjoy the day with an outdoor Book Market, Food Trucks and Exhibits on the beautiful USF St Petersburg Campus. Over 40 Authors will be speaking indoors throughout the day along with Q&A sessions. Book signings will also be available post author talks. Parking is Free. 10am-5pm

Shopapalooza (Nov. 17 & 24)

Shopapalooza is Tampa Bay’s biggest shopping event of the year, packed with free entertainment, free giveaways and plenty of surprises! The FREE community celebration, now in its ninth year, brings together more than 130 locally owned shops, restaurants, art galleries, service providers, non-profits and community organizations to beautiful South Straub Park in downtown St. Petersburg! Shopapalooza also features free entertainment, free giveaways, free activities for children and plenty of surprises! Chillounge Night: Illumination

Feel the magic as N. Straub Park radiates into a beautiful playground of color! Enjoy a mix of our traditional Chillounge Night flair interwoven with our new LED furniture line and several LED art installations. Run through the heart of downtown St. Pete, with its many unique urban districts, taking a detour through Tropicana Field, and along the scenic waterfront through historic neighborhoods. All details here. 7am-2pm.

Pinellas Trail Bike Ride
Google says it will take a little over 3 hours (one way) to bike the Pinellas Trail, starting downtown St Petersburg and ending in Tarpon Springs, and then back. We will stop at a few times to hydrate (read: drink) and eat. The more the merrier. This free event is being organized by Chef N Me and Laughing Buddha Aquatic Adventures. 9am.

St. Petersburg Tellabration 2018 is part of a worldwide celebration of storytelling for grown-ups developed by the National Storytelling Association. Guilds and storytelling enthusiasts around the globe share their talents annually during the third weekend in November. The Be Good Club: Fall Field Day

Salvation Army’s Sallie House and the Children’s Village are two local organizations set up to provide a safe space for kids in crisis.
