Mornings with the Maestro – Preview to The Elixir of Love at Museum of Fine Arts
St. Pete Opera’s unique Maestro series returns with seven new programs in which Mark Sforzini, Executive and Artistic Director, combines entertainment and education with short performances. Following the performance, audience members are invited to join the cast at a local restaurant for refreshments and the chance to mingle. 11am-12:30pm. $20. Sunshine City Antiques and Collectibles Show at The Coliseum (All Weekend)

Neil Simon’s Proposals at St. Pete City Theater (All Weekend)
Enjoy the comedic talents of Neil Simon onstage at the St. Pete City Theatre. Proposals takes place in the yard of a house belonging to the Hines family. Family may be a misnomer; businessman Burt Hines has been divorced by his wife, Annie, who has remarried, and his daughter, Josie, is still resentful of the time he spent building his business, and not paying attention to her. Billy Gardell at The Mahaffey
Known to millions as the co-star of the hit series Mike & Molly, Billy Gardell played Officer Mike Biggs on the popular sitcom for its entire 2010-2016 run. Most recently, he stars as Col. Tom Parker in the CMT series Million Dollar Quartet. Gardell’s standup show is a powerhouse. His grounded, down-to-earth point of view strikes a strong chord with American audiences. 8pm. Beacon ’17: A Performance Series for St. Pete
Following in the footsteps of last season’s wildly successful performance, BEACON ‘17 includes not only vibrant, lively dance works, but also the world premiere of a dance film created by world-renown dancer and BEACON Series co-founder/ choreographer/artist Helen Hansen French, in collaboration with more than 25 artists from across all disciplines. Give a Day for the Bay at Boyd Hill Nature Preserve

Arbor Day Celebration at Sunken Gardens
Enjoy kids’ crafts, scavenger hunt, and free tree seedlings. Dali & Beyond Film Series: The Assassination of Trotsky
This film delves into the psychological makeup of Frank Jackson (Alain Delon), the assassin of exiled Russian Communist leader Leon Trotsky (Richard Burton). The tale chronicles the final few months of Trotsky’s life, from the May 1940 raid upon Trotsky’s Mexican compound until August of that year when Jackson’s assassination attempt succeeded. 1-3pm.

Outdoor Yoga and Meditation for Children at Boyd Hill Nature Preserve
Bend, stretch, and breathe in the fresh air! Children will learn simple child-friendly yoga poses and practice short meditation exercises in each of the different habitats within the preserve. Kids wear stretchy clothes. 10am-noon. $10 per child, ages 4-10. Boyd Hill, 1101 Country Club Way South.

Relay for Life of Carillon Fundraising Event
Nothing says summer like beautiful beach sunsets, palm trees and romance. This fundraising event is OPEN TO THE PUBLIC: Join your hosts from Team BB&T Insurance and support them in raising funds for Relay for Life of Carillon. Proceeds from this event will help those fighting cancer and their loved ones with accommodations and transportation to and from treatments as well as funding research. Doors open at 12:30pm so you can enjoy mingling and drinks, and the paint party begins at 1pm. $35 per painter.

2017 Tampa Bay Frogman Swim at Gandy Beach
The 5k point to point swim has evolved into an annual event that is now an official Navy SEAL Foundation fundraiser which has raised nearly two million dollars for the Foundation. The Navy SEAL Foundation has earned the coveted four-star rating from Charity Navigator for sound fiscal management and commitment to accountability and transparency. The event runs from 5-11am. Yoga at The Dali
Join Lucky Cat Yoga every Sunday at The Dali – a remarkable environment where Dali’s energy infuses the physical, mental and spiritual inspiration of yoga. Classes are held in the Raymond James Community Room or Avant-Garden, both with incredible views of the waterfront. The Lucky Cats teach vinyasa yoga, an all-levels approach that incorporates an interplay of basic breath work, postures, meditation and relaxation. Hot Gatherings, Cool Conversations – Shelley Muzylowski Allen & Rik Allen at Museum of Fine Arts
Shelley Muzylowski Allen has a BFA in painting and intaglio from the Emily Carr University of Art + Design in Vancouver and from 1998-2004, was an assistant with the William Morris sculpture team in Washington. In 2005, she established a glass and sculpture studio, also in Washington, with husband Rik Allen.
