This Light Of Ours & Beaches, Benches and Boycotts @ Florida Holocaust Museum (All Week)
Experience the two groundbreaking Civil Rights exhibitions on display now at the Florida Holocaust Museum. The exhibitions feature rare photographs and documents seldom seen by the public. Beaches, Benches and Boycotts details the Civil Rights movement in Tampa Bay. This Light Of Ours features carefully curated photography showing the civilian experience during the Civil Rights movement. Exhibitions are on display through December 1. Museum is open daily from 10am-5pm. Adults $16, seniors (65+) $14, college students $10, students under 18 $8.

AARP Tampa Bay Presents Culture Cocktails and Connections @ The Dali Museum
Joan Kropf, Chief Curator,Deputy Director of the Dali will present "Dali and Morses – History of the Dali. Come mix and mingle with other residents while discovering all that Tampa Bay has to offer. Police and Citizens Seeking Common Ground – A Community Conversation
Could Pinellas County be the next Ferguson or Baltimore? It is a distressing thought, but one that should be considered as anger builds over the deaths of black youths and men at the hands of police officers around the country. Join the community as a distinguished panel of community and law enforcement leaders explore the state of relations between police and St. Pete residents. 6-8pm. FREE and open to the public. Boom, Bust, and the Built Environment – Lecture Series from SPP
Following the collapse of the 1920s boom, Florida attracted a new breed of entrepreneurs who created legendary attractions and made tourism the state's new economic fuel. This program will discuss tourism's role in the boom & busts and in St. Petersburg's success. Ken Breslauer, historic preservationist and author, specializing in commercial archeology and the study of Florida's roadside culture. Among his books are, Roadside Paradise – The Golden Age of Florida's Tourist Attractions and Historic Sites and Architecture of St. Pete. Reception at 6:30pm. Program at 7pm.
