TPA launching new routes to Los Angeles, Nashville, and Durham

Tampa International Airport (TPA) has just announced that American Airlines is launching 3 new routes this year:Nashville, Raleigh-Durham and Los Angeles. Tickets will be available to reserve beginning the weekend of June 13.

“BNA and RDU service will be twice daily and launches Nov. 2 while LAX daily service launches Oct. 7,” wrote airport officials in an announcement on Instagram.

This follows the news that Alaska Airlines will launch nonstop service between Tampa and Portland this winter.

The seasonal service is expected to operate four days a week between Dec. 16 and April 18 aboard a Boeing 737. Flights will leave Portland at 12:10 p.m., arriving in Tampa at 8:29 p.m. Departing flights will leave TPA the following day at 8 a.m., arriving in Portland at 11 a.m.

Alaska Airlines also operates flights between Seattle and Tampa out of TPA. The airport also relaunched its nonstop service to San Francisco, and its routes to Panama City on COPA Airlines.

Breeze Airways, a brand new airline, is set to launch 10 routes out of TPA this year, too.

Destinations include  Charleston; Louisville; Oklahoma City; Tulsa; Norfolk; Bentonville/Fayetteville, Ark.; Akron/Canton, Ohio; Richmond, Va.; Columbus, Ohio; and Huntsville, Ala. Tampa International Airport made the announcement in a release on their website.
