Pride month has returned to St. Pete and it’s bigger, brighter, and busier than ever! Though the city won’t be hosting its legendary pride parade this year, there are still tons of local events to help spread the love all month long. Mark your calendars, because the City of St. Pete and its businesses have so much in store for everyone to celebrate Pride 2021.
As this year begins to breathe life back into St. Pete, the events and experiences that help to make the Sunshine City shine have returned in full force – especially St. Pete PrideFest. To make sure you don’t miss out on a single moment of the fun, check out this list of some of the city’s upcoming events that celebrate the LGBTQIA+ community.
In addition to events hosted by St. Pete’s local businesses, the City of St. Petersburg is hosting themed signature events every weekend in June. Various safety measures will be in place, including advanced ticketing for each event. Tickets can be purchased and additional donations to St. Pete Pride can be made online.
There are a ton of events happening at businesses across the Grand Central District, the area where the first St. Pete Pride was born. You can see a full local business events calendar courtesy of the GCDA online.
Have loads of bold, colorful fun at Rainbros Pride Party in Downtown St. Pete. The wild Pride party has officially returned, offering a night filled with cocktails and lively DJs, performers, and dancers. Admission includes 4 drink tickets, 1 raffle ticket, and a Rainbros T-shirt. The party is from 6 to 10 p.m.

June 25 & 26: Pride on the Plaza at The Mahaffey Theater
Bill Edwards Foundation for the Arts presents Pride on the Plaza! A free concert for the community on the Duke Energy Center for the Arts – Mahaffey Theater Plaza. Join the theater on Friday, June 25 or Saturday, June 26 at 7:30pm for an evening filled with live music, friends and good vibes. Everyone is welcome to this inclusive outdoor event.
Bring a blanket or lawn chair and enjoy a beautiful view of Tampa Bay with The Black Honkeys Band performing both nights. Their blend of rock and funk has garnered a dedicated local fan following! Joining The Black Honkeys Band on Friday night is The Torpedoes. On Saturday, Shevonne & the Force will be performing. Outdoor Cash Bars will be available starting at 7pm on both Friday and Saturday.

See the dazzling beauty of the Chihuly Collection through a lens of infinite colors. Ms. Bak Lava will escort you and your friends through a fun and fanciful museum experience. Planned accordingly so attendees can enjoy the closing St. Pete Pride Picnic celebration and Fireworks at Straub Park immediately following. ONE VERY SPECIAL PERSON can be Ms. Bak Lava’s date for the evening for just $150. A romantic date with Ms. Bak Lava is nothing short of hilarious and full of surprises around ever corner, literally, you better watch out! A portion of the proceeds will support the St. Pete Pride organization.
June 26: Pride in Pinellas Arts Village
The Pinellas Arts Village is bursting with Pride! Enjoy over 80 LGBTQ/ally vendors, community organizations and businesses (at no cost to small business vendors). There will be live performances throughout including, DJ Jadget Gam spinning Pride sets, drag performances, live bands, and stand-up comedy. Family and youth activities, and outdoor/indoor bars will be available.. Food trucks and booths, plus giveaways, contests and prizes.

June 26: Pride Picnic at Straub Park
To ensure PrideFest 2021 goes out with a bang, the city will host Pride Picnic along the St. Pete waterfront. Grab a blanket and enjoy festive vendors, live music, and food trucks before the celebration closes with a fantastic firework display over the bay. Because it’s Taste of PrideFest Week, participating St. Pete restaurants and bars will also offer $5 specials in the days leading up to the event! The Pride Picnic fun begins at 2 p.m. and ends at approximately 9 p.m. after the fireworks. Tickets are $5 each.
Enjoy the streets and sidewalks of Grand Central. The 2300 and 2400 blocks of Central will be closed on Saturday, June 26 from noon-6pm for a pedestrian safe block party, live entertainment, and fun times. There will be a stage and live performances featuring Acid Betty and Venus D Lite from Rupaul’s Drag Race and pop stars Kristine W and Company B.
June 26: Pride on Central
“Wear your Rainbow colors and safely show your Pride up and down Central! Shop and support our local brick + mortar shops, visit some fun pop-ups and enjoy deals, discounts and drink specials at participating locations,” wrote the Pride Central organizers on the main event page. “Our local business will be practicing proper social distancing guidelines for everyone’s safety.
Participating businesses include Atlas Body + Home, Brutique, The Fashion Spot Boutique, Intermezzo Coffee & Cocktails, Plant Love Ice Cream, Lida’s Jungle, Rays Vegan Soul, Matter Of Fact, Pizza Box, Ashe Couture Boutique and more!
