PARC Presents Top Chefs at The Morean Center for Clay

Join us for PARC’s 5th Annual foodie event, Top Chefs, and taste the flavors of some of the hottest restaurants and catering services in Tampa Bay. Hosted by the beautiful Allison Kropff, guests will enjoy a night full of mouthwatering entrées, signature drinks, and decadent desserts, all while supporting a great cause! When: 6:30pm–10pm. Night Market St. Pete at The Postcard Inn 

Shop local under the stars at the historic Postcard Inn on St. Pete Beach. Dozens of Tampa Bay vendors will gather for a unique shopping celebration. Best yet, parking is FREE for night market visitors. When: 6-10pm. Cost: Free to attend. Where: Postcard Inn, 6300 Gulf Boulevard.

World Liquors Sign Lighting Ceremony at Ferg’s

The World Liquors sign has been fully restored and is once again on display in the EDGE District. Now it’s in a new location at Ferg’s. To celebrate its return, the bar owners will host a special lighting ceremony on Friday night with a full on block party. Expect music, food, games, and plenty of drinks. When: 6-10pm. Cost: Free to attend. Where: Ferg’s, 1320 Central Avenue. 

Tater Tot Throw Down at Albert Whitted Park 

Last week, the Tater Tot Throw Down got postponed due to weather. Let’s hope that doesn’t happen this time around. Dozens of the best food trucks in Tampa Bay will gather for a full blown Tater Tot Thrown Down. Vendors will be serving up a wide variety of cheesy tots covered in everything from buffalo sauce to lobster to bacon. When: 6-11pm. Cost: Free to attend. Where: Albert Whitted Park, 480 Bayshore Drive Southeast.

8/25 – Paws for the Sunset – Our Nat’l Dog Day Instameet!
We’re kicking off our National Dog Day celebration a day early! End a gorgeous St. Pete weekend with I Love the Burg & the amazing #ilovetheburg community. Bring your dog with you and get ready for gram-worthy sunset full of photography, community, and a few surprises! Our friends from Fido’s Food Truck (a pup-centric food truck) will be on deck with some goodies to giveaway! When: August 25, 6pm–8:30pm. Cost: Free to attend. 8/24 – Environmental Impact II at The James Museum
A powerful new exhibit arrives at The James Museum downtown on August 24. This traveling exhibition of dramatic paintings and sculptures heightens public attention about environmental issues and unintended consequences of human interaction with nature. Topics covered include global warming, the Gulf oil spill, unabated logging and mining, loss of bee populations, and more. When: On view from August 24-December 1.
