PARC Presents Top Chefs at The Morean Center for Clay
Join us for PARC’s 5th Annual foodie event, Top Chefs, and taste the flavors of some of the hottest restaurants and catering services in Tampa Bay. Hosted by the beautiful Allison Kropff, guests will enjoy a night full of mouthwatering entrées, signature drinks, and decadent desserts, all while supporting a great cause! When: 6:30pm–10pm. Night Market St. Pete at The Postcard Inn

World Liquors Sign Lighting Ceremony at Ferg’s
The World Liquors sign has been fully restored and is once again on display in the EDGE District. Now it’s in a new location at Ferg’s. To celebrate its return, the bar owners will host a special lighting ceremony on Friday night with a full on block party. Expect music, food, games, and plenty of drinks. When: 6-10pm. Tater Tot Throw Down at Albert Whitted Park
Last week, the Tater Tot Throw Down got postponed due to weather. Let’s hope that doesn’t happen this time around. Dozens of the best food trucks in Tampa Bay will gather for a full blown Tater Tot Thrown Down. Vendors will be serving up a wide variety of cheesy tots covered in everything from buffalo sauce to lobster to bacon. When: 6-11pm. Cost: Free to attend. Where: Albert Whitted Park, 480 Bayshore Drive Southeast.

8/24 – Environmental Impact II at The James Museum
A powerful new exhibit arrives at The James Museum downtown on August 24. This traveling exhibition of dramatic paintings and sculptures heightens public attention about environmental issues and unintended consequences of human interaction with nature. Topics covered include global warming, the Gulf oil spill, unabated logging and mining, loss of bee populations, and more. When: On view from August 24-December 1.
