St. Petersburg’s beloved Studio@620 is kicking off an exciting 2024-25 season titled “A Season of Joy and Resilience,” under the visionary leadership of newly appointed Artistic Executive Director, Erica Sutherlin. With a rich background as a director, educator, and advocate for inclusive theater, Sutherlin aims to bring fresh energy to the iconic creative space, celebrating the human spirit through stories of hope, perseverance, and love.
Sutherlin explains that the season will strike a balance between drama and comedy, with performances that not only highlight tension but also illuminate the joy and resilience that arise from adversity. “As an artist, I’m interested in what we overcome—what is triumphant out of that darkness,” she said.
