Time has never been more relative. Blink and it is nearly Mother’s Day. During this difficult time we think it’s more important now than ever to show support for the amazing moms across St. Pete and beyond. Myriad restaurants and makers have banded together to make some exquisite gifts for mom this year.
Here’s a guide to get restaurant deals, gift baskets, and more from our favorite local businesses:
Urban Brew & BBQ continues to serve the St. Petersburg community through these difficult times. Its latest initiative is designed to help make this day special for single moms in Pinellas County. Urban Brew & BBQ has partnered with Swah-Rey, Grill & Provisions, and Klemtek Media. Single moms can fill out a form on Urban’s website to have a meal brought to them on Mother’s Day.
The restaurant also has a full Mother’s Day bundle brunch spread you can view on their website.
The Refillery is St. Petersburg’s near zero waste eco-boutique. Through this pandemic the shop has offered refills on soaps and detergents, and offered a variety of essential home products like cloths, toothbrushes and more. They’ve also begun offering brand new take-home DIY kits for you to craft your own soaps.

Natalia Lima is an exquisite baker. Her cakes are literal works of art — and almost too pretty to eat. The Lavender Lemon Pound cake is a confectionary dream come true. The daisy cupcakes and rose cupcakes are way better than a bouquet.
Browse Curious Cat’s whimsical, literary treats on its website. I can’t recommend the Once Pecan A Time cookies enough.
Charcuterie boards galore
Is there anything better than a cheese board? If there is, I can’t think of it right now. Several of the ‘Burg’s best spots for meats and cheeses are open for curbside pickup and they are all well worth checking out if you want to make an exquisite Mother’s Day dinner.
St. Pete runs on flower power. Want to give mom a beautiful arrangement, or some new plants to enliven your space? Consider anything in stock at Wild Roots in St. Petersburg. The shop features ample dry bouquets that will enhance any spot in your home, incense to reinvigorate a room, and of course a variety of vases and plants to your liking.
The Merchant St. Pete just opened in its new space in the Crislip Arcade on the 600 Block of Central Avenue. The sales floor supports more than 80 local makers in the Sunshine City. Shop everything from sweet local treats and art prints, to t-shirts, coffee beans, and candles. Visit The Merchant’s website, and follow the shop on Facebook for teasers.
