The St. Pete Holiday Gift Guide

‘Tis the season to give local. While it’s tempting to do some quick online shopping for your growing holiday list, there are ample shops in St. Pete that make one of a kind items you can afford. When you shop local, not only are you picking up something unique and personal for a loved one, but you’re also helping to support a budding small business.

It’s the kind of indulgence you can feel good about.

Here’s a quick list of ways to give local this holiday season. We totally wouldn’t blame you if you wound up picking up a few of these things for yourself, too.

Winter Whiskeyfest Tickets

Tickets to Winter Whiskeyfest is how you make everyone’s spirits bright. This event put on by your truly at the beautiful La Florida Ballroom at Red Mesa Cantina downtown.

Choose from over a dozen different whiskeys to taste, enjoy light bites, and mingle over live music in the La Florida event space on a Saturday evening. Tickets are limited, with room for only 250 of our closest friends and fans.

The event takes place on Saturday, January 19, from 6-9pm. Tickets are $75 in advance and $85 at the door. You can purchase yours online by clicking here.

A portion of proceeds go to Metro Wellness & Community Centers to support their essential LGBTQ+, transgender, and youth programs.

I Love the Burg Windshield Art

It’s called the Sunshine City for a reason. It’s almost always sunny! But while we may enjoy the beautiful sunshine, we don’t love hopping into a hot car. So we’re keeping our cars cool with a little style. These custom I Love the Burg sun shades feature designs that show off your love for St. Pete.

The sun shades are custom fit to your car’s make and model, so the fit is fantastic. Plus they can keep your car up to 40 degrees cooler and reduce dashboard sun damage 100%.

You can purchase yours online by clicking here. Use code ILOVETHEBURG to get 10% off for Christmas!

Kahwa Coffee Gift Cards and Gift Box

Kahwa is a longtime sponsor of the blog — and a business were so proud to see grow in this city. With more than a dozen locations across the state. Their coffee is basically the reason we wake up in the morning. You can shop for their local roast, their gift cards and some other holiday swag on their website.

Through December 25, you receive and extra $5 for every $50 in gift cards you buy.

Spring Green Handbags

This is the perfect gift for someone who loves to shop local. The tote bags by Spring Green are completely upcycled and decorate with heartfelt St. Pete messages. You can find Spring Green on Etsy, though the maker does make appearances at other local market.

Paint Nail Bar Gift Card

Coast Bike Membership

Know anyone who loves to ride bikes? Then a Coast Bike membership is kind of the perfect gift. The organization has dozens of hubs across the Burg and in Tampa. You can cruise between the best museums in St. Pete without breaking too much of a sweat.

An annual membership to Coast Bikes costs $79. This plan includes 60 minutes of riding time daily. Monthly plans are available at $15 per month if you want to test the waters before diving into the program.

2nd & Second

Grab your day by the mug with one of these locally designed, witty mugs from one of the Burg’s top breakfast joints. You can purchase one in person at 201 2nd Avenue North. It’s the perfect vessel for your local daily roast, or tea, or spiked eggnong, we won’t judge. 2nd and Second is a sponsor of I Love the Burg.

Local Craft Beer

Head over to Avid Brewing, Green Bench. Cycle Brewing, St. Pete Brewing Company, 3 Daughters, Flying Boat, Cage or any of the amazing breweries in the Tampa Bay area and fill a growler with their latest release.

Regardless of the beer lover’s taste preference, these craft breweries will have a drink they’re sure love.

If you visit Avid Brewing Company, a beloved sponsor of the I Love the Burg blog, you can even pick up the tools and ingredients necessary to make your own beer at home. Avid Brewing is located at 1745 1st Avenue South.

Cassis Bakery

Okay, waltzing into a party with a Cassis dessert is the best way to make a good first impression. Cassis is a sponsor of I Love The Burg and has long been on of our favorite spots on Beach Drive to grab an espresso and croissant.

But can we talk about that Chocolate Buche Du Noel yule log cake? The restaurant’s desserts are more like works of art. So, you can either bring dessert to the party (holiday pre-orders being taken here), or get that special someone on your list a gift card to the Beach Drive restaurant.

Cassis is located at 170 Beach Drive.

Posies Flower Truck Gift Card

If you’ve somehow not spotted Posies Flower Truck around the Burg, we recommend you seek it out ASAP.

This caravan of flowers is honestly one of the most lovely additions to the Tampa Bay region. Nothing brightens our day quite like arranging our own bouquets to add a pop of color, and a fresh natural scent to our home.

The truck can be found at indie markets, Bandit Coffee, the Oxford Exchange and a myriad other spots across the Burg. If you want to give the gift of beautiful flowers, then we suggest you purchase a Posies Flower Truck gift card.

Local Authors

St. Pete is replete with amazing authors, and equally amazing bookstores. Visit Cultured Books3-2-1 BooksHaslam’s or Wilson’s Book World to browse the best classic and new books. You can also show support for writers and poets creating moving works year after year. Tamara Lush, Jon Chopan, Craig Pittman, Dennis Lehane and Helen Wallace are among the amazing published authors whose works you can gift to friends and family this holiday season.

I Love The Burg Swag

Time for some shameless self promotion. We’ve created tons of t-shirts, tote bags, beach towels and other St. Pete-centric designs to fill your home and wardrobe with warm reminders of the Sunshine City and they’re all for sale in our online shop.

Need a St. Pete mug? Or maybe a Burg throw pillow for your living room? We’ve got it. We’ve made it. And we want it to find a place in your home.

You can shop our complete collection of merchandise by clicking here.
