This Earth Day, some of our favorite St. Pete businesses are getting together to celebrate the planet in style – and help keep it healthy in the process. The Pelican, a 60-foot catamaran offering water journeys from the St. Pete Pier, announced it is hosting an Earth Day Charity Sunset Cruise in collaboration with Left Bank Bistro and Hawthorne Bottle Shoppe, with proceeds benefitting Ocean Aid 360.

The cruise takes place on Earth Day, April 22, from 7:30-9:30 pm, as the beautiful vessel journeys out beyond the Skyway Bridge, giving guests stunning views of the sunset as it dips below the horizon of the Gulf of Mexico.

OceanAid 360 is all about keeping Florida’s coastal habitats safe and sound and has helped remove over 300,000 pounds of marine debris throughout Florida and the Caribbean. They team up with everyone from boaters to local communities to clean up and take care of our beautiful coastlines. By offering fun and educational activities, they’re making sure everyone can pitch in and learn a thing or two about protecting our marine environments. It’s all about coming together to make a positive impact on the planet! For more details, check out their work at OceanAid 360.

The epic journey includes appetizers provided by French favorite Left Bank Bistro, a wine tasting curated by Hawthorne Bottle Shoppe, live music on the top deck, and even a raffle to support Ocean Aid 360. 20% of every ticket sold will go toward Ocean Aid 360, a St. Pete-based non-profit focused on marine habitat restoration.

With both indoor seating and outdoor observation decks, guests have their option of where and how to enjoy the ride. Riders must be at least 21 years of age, and tickets are $100 per person. Limited supplies are available, as The Pelican’s admission is limited to 49 people, and reservations can be made here.

The Pelican, promising “pier to paradise” transportation, is a sleek new ship making daily trips from the St. Pete Pier to Egmont Key (and back), offering gorgeous views through Tampa Bay and into the Gulf of Mexico.

Riders have their choice of two types of excursions, either spending a couple hours playing and exploring on Egmont Key during the day, or taking a two-hour sunset cruise in the evening. Dates are now open for booking as soon as this weekend for both.

The 60-foot catamaran holds up to 49 passengers, complete with air conditioning and generously sized bathrooms, and is also available for special private charter events like weddings, corporate parties, reunions, and birthdays.

On the “Explore Egmont Key” journey, The Pelican provides a four-hour excursion from the St. Pete Pier to beautiful Egmont Key. The ride to Egmont Key is roughly one hour each way, and includes two hours on the secluded State Park island where guests can enjoy exploring the historic lighthouse and fort, snorkeling, fishing, or relaxing on the sandy beaches. Tours take place daily from 12 – 4 pm. Prices are $59 for adults, and $39 for children.

On the Sunset Cruise, guests are invited to sit back, relax and enjoy themselves during the three-hour journey from The St. Pete Pier through paradise. Sail by the beautiful shorelines of St. Pete, pass under the stunning Sunshine Skyway bridge and perhaps even see a dolphin or two. Prices for the 18+ excursions are $59 per person. Cruise times will adjust throughout the year as necessary.
