The Florida Orchestra never disappoints. This group of excelsior musicians brings classics and contemporary bops to brilliant life. This February, TFO is partnering with a St. Pete-based astronaut, Nicole Stott, for an out of this world performance.
Conductor Sarah Hicks will join Stott for a voyage into stellar music from Star Trek, Holst’s The Planets, Star Wars, E.T., and other notable hits.

Orchestral performance paired with space images and video
The performance will be enhanced with space images and video. Concerts will take place on Friday, February 28 at 8pm at the Straz Center in Tampa, and then at The Mahaffey on Saturday, February 29 at 8pm.

TFO brings back FREE pops in the park
Residents may also recall TFO’s wild pop up performances inside the Museum of Fine Arts to kickoff the museum’s new exhibit “Art of the Stage: Picasso to Hockney.”
Most exciting for this massive Marvel fan is the orchestra’s planned Superhero Soundtrack show. TFO will perform the most recognizable songs from your favorite heroic films and shows. Those shows are slated for May 15 and 16 in Tampa and St. Petersburg.

The Masked Singer, NBC’s strange new hit that many can’t help but watch is going on tour, and its making a stop at The Mahaffey Theater on June 28.
In case you hadn’t heard, Buffy The Vampire Slayer Festival, BuffyFest, returns with an evening of live performances by The Florida Bjorkestra this April.
