The Burg Bar & Grill celebrates 10 years in the Sunshine City

Best potato chips in the state as far as I’m concerned. I was trying to channel Tony Soprano there. The Burg Bar & Grill is a local gem. While the Grand Central District continues to evolve as a food and entertainment hub, The Burg remains a constant, a savory totem of the best this city has to offer. If you can believe it, the small spot on Central Avenue is turning 10.

Owner Bill Georgiou is staple in the St. Pete community. He’s animated, passionate, and represents all that has driven the small business boom in the ‘Burg. That the Burg Bar & Grill, a shop serving up, as I said before, the best damn potato chips in the state, in addition to hearty burgers, melty Cuban sandwiches, and tons of beers on draft, has stayed the course and maintained a loyal following in the Sunshine City is wonderful.

Best dining deals in the ‘Burg

If you’re looking for a good dining deal, look no further. The Burg Bar & Grill offers some of the most budget-friendly specials on a daily basis. Here’s the rundown:

  • Tuesday: $6 wings (8 per order)
  • Wednesday: $5 Cuban sandwiches with Burg chips(!)
  • Thursday: 1/2 off appetizers, and 1/2 off wine, PLUS $6 hot Italian sandwiches
  • Friday: $10 fish tacos, and 1/2 off select bottles of beer
  • Saturday: $4 sangria (red and white)

The Burg Bar & Grill’s 10th Anniversary will be held on December 7 from 11am-7pm.

Celebrating 10 years on Central Avenue

Are you a St. Pete trivia wiz? Answer some questions and you could take home a Burg Bar & Grill shirt. The first 100 guests will receive a free beer koozie. Live music will be performed outside during the celebration as well.

Specials during the celebration include $5 Cuban sandwiches, $6 wings, and $6 5oz. burgers.

The Burg Bar & Grill is located at 1752 Central Avenue.

Sister restaurant, The Burg Diner

Georgiou also owns a diner concept, The Burg Diner, located at 2950 49th Street North. It’s modeled after the old school diners he grew up in. The menu offers a healthy Greek yogurt bar, big omelettes (all about the broccoli cheddar), fluffy slices of French toast, and a seriously great Cuban breakfast sandwich.
