The smell of corned beef and cabbage in the slow-cooker. The “Kiss Me, I’m Irish” shirts. The green apparel. And the parting glass at the end of the night. Everyone knows that these things mean St. Paddy’s day, but is everyone ready to celebrate them? Here are the best places in St. Pete to party this St. Paddy’s Day.
MacDinton’s St. Pete
242 1st Ave N, St. Pete
MacDinton’s St. Pete is going all out with an all-day block party from 10:00 AM to 3:00 AM. Be sure to try some of the traditional Irish food like shepherd’s pie, corned beef and cabbage, bangers and mash, Reubens, or Guinness Beer battered fish and chips. They plan to keep the party going with 6 live bands during the day and a DJ to finish out the night. And no St. Paddy’s day is complete without Irish dancers, whom you can check out in the Jannus Live courtyard.
Courigan’s Irish Pub
1 Beach Dr SE ste 41, St. Pete
For the past 14 years, Courigan’s has thrown a St. Patrick’s Day block party on Beach Drive. The party kicks off at 10:00 AM and there will be live music, food, green beer, and no shortage of Jameson or Guinness. The live music starts at 12:30 and go until 10:15 PM. While you can order all of the Irish specialties that you know and love like Grilled reubens, shepherd’s pies, bangers and mash, corned beef and cabbage, and fish-n-chips inside Courigan’s, you can also get brats and burgers on the street! Throw on some green and come on down to the best Paddy’s Day Block Party in Tampa Bay!
O’Maddy’s Bar and Grille
5405 Shore Blvd S, Gulfport
Every year, O’Maddy’s hosts a waterfront street party and this year is no exception. This year, there will be live music by Pete & Dean, The Kingpin Band, and The Josh Cruz Experience. No St. Paddy’s Day street party is complete without green beer and corned beef and cabbage, so head down to Gulfport, enjoy the waterfront view, and let your Irish show!
1584 Central Ave, St. Pete
Another local pub, McAuley’s Pub on Central is also planning to have a St. Paddy’s Day Party. They are loading up on Green Beer and Irish Classics, what’s not to love? Be sure to fill up your plate with their Reuben Nachos, Corned Beef and Cabbage, or Beef Stew and make sure to get the perfect picture of your green beer to share with us!
Let us know if you try out any of these places and what you thought in the comments!
Have fun this St. Patrick’s Day, but please drink responsibly. And remember, on behalf of everyone, it’s St. Paddy’s Day, not St. Patty’s Day.
