The foodie scene in Southwest St. Pete keeps getting tastier with the recent opening of Stack ‘n’ Sizzle. Looking for breakfast or lunch? Skip the fast food and come for comfort food.

Garnering rave reviews for food and sassy service already, this is the spot for hangover juice (ask GM Keith about his special brew) and eggs the way you like them, from omelets (cheesy, meaty, Greek, veggie) to sensational sides (creamy dreamy grits, bacon, biscuits) and some awesome corn beef hash.

There’s egg Benedicts, Texas French toast, buttermilk pancakes and Belgian waffles, all in colossal portions. Our favorite was the cheesy veggie bowl, perfect for cooler weather.

At lunch, the cheeseburgers, big deal meals (meatloaf, country fried steak), two-handed Texas toast sandwiches (Buffalo chicken breast, Philly cheesesteak), homemade soups (Friday’s clam chowder) and salads will tame your hangry beast. Save room for pie or deep-fried cheesecake with seasonal berries. There’s even a kids menu.
