Local restaurant owners and employees have worked exhaustively to feed the St. Pete community during this difficult time. In doing so, they continue to exercise every precaution to ensure the safety of their customers, their staff, and drivers who continue to bring fresh meals to the local community.
The City of St. Pete has also recently launched a campaign to help guide locals and small businesses like restaurants with as the city slowly and carefully reopens called Restart St. Pete. “That means not only following orders & guidelines to keep St. Pete healthy, but sticking together. The St. Pete Way is kindness & understanding,” says Mayor Rick Kriseman.
We wanted to extend a sincere thank you to the St. Pete Free Clinic. They’ve begun offering a drive-thru food pantry for families in need in St. Petersburg.
Here’s the full statement from the SPFC:
The temporary drive-thru Food Pantry is open Mondays and Tuesdays from 8:30AM until 3:00PM and Thursdays from 8:30AM until 7PM. Food is available to all Pinellas County residents. Just bring your photo ID and you can get emergency food supplies for your family to 863 3rd Ave North. Make sure to enter from 8th Street and turn left onto 3rd Ave. You can call 727-821-1200 for questions.
A new locally designed website has also just been launched to further help small restaurant business operations by allowing them to keep more of the profit and less commission towards delivery apps like UberEats. Pineapple Pickup is the latest online ordering platform for restaurants, cafes and coffee shops which charges only 7% during the pandemic (vs. 20-30%) from orders for pick up from the establishment.
We also don’t want to forget about the pets! Pet Works, a new grocery for pets in downtown St. Petersburg offers free same day no contact delivery in the city. The shop features highly curated pet food, toys, treats and more. Support local, St. Pete! Shop Pet Works online. The shop is also offering a special 20% discount for healthcare workers and first reconsiders. Pet Works has also been collection donations for the Suncoast Organized Animal Relief.
A Tampa Bay-based company, ReBuilt Meals, started by 27-year-old Brandon Assaf, currently offers meal delivery plans for individuals, and families in eco-friendly packaging in the Tampa Bay region. Gluten-free, paleo, vegan, and keto options are all available. Full details here.
If you’re looking for some relaxing relief, Your CBD Store in St. Pete is also offering phone consultations, curbside pickup, and delivery. You can shop this locally owned business’ full selection of products on their website.
The St. Petersburg Saturday Morning Market has also launched a special drive-thru market.
The organizers are holding a market composed of a limited number of farmers, with drive-through pickup only. Customers will need to pre-order and prepay and have the ID of person named on the order available.
There are two ways to order: Individual Farmers’ websites; and Saturday Morning Market Online Market.

Local grocers have also remained open, while adhering to CDC guidelines.
A Food Truck Convoy has been formed to deliver meals to families in need. The effort has brought nearly 400 meals per day to different parts of the ‘Burg since its launch.
St. Pete Meals, a concept launched by St. Pete Rising and the EDGE Guide, has raised more than $42,000 and provided meals for countless healthcare providers in the city. One afternoon Zucker brought 160 meals from Greenstock to the Bay Pines VA Hospital. You can donate to the campaign by visiting St. Pete Meals’ website.
Pacific Counter is also offering a gift card matching promotion to give to hospitality workers who have lost their job due to the pandemic. For every PC Gift Card purchased, and donated to the hospitality industry, they will do the same! They will randomly select and give away whatever Gift Cards they have each Friday!
Swah Rey launched a minis for medics campaign to help bring sweet treats to those on the frontlines of this pandemic.
Mazzaro’s Italian Market is still open and has ample essentials and daily specials posted on their Facebook page to assist with your quarantine.
Katie’s Fine Cookies has launched new St. Petersburg Pantry boxes available for preorder on her site. Boxes include eggs, mixed produce, sweet treats and more.
Greenstock currently offers $35 mixed produce bags filled with fresh fruit and veggies for delivery on UberEats.
Brick Street Farms has opened in their brand new farm space and have a pop up market with limited hours so residents can shop, cook, and eat local.
Urban Brew & BBQ offers a pickup grocery service too. The restaurant has been able to bring several employees back to work after a surge of local support.
Rollin Oats is still open and encourage folks especially seniors 65+ to use their online shopping feature and use their convenient curbside pickup. Check their Facebook page for continued updates on hours and other changes.
Pop Goes the Waffle has also worked exhaustively to provide tasty waffles to the St. Pete community, while also providing treats to the city’s first responders. Shop their website for some tasty treats!

Some are available for delivery through third-party platforms including UberEats, GrubHub, BiteSquad and DoorDash. We’re providing web and social platform links so that curious residents can check availability, browse their menus and see if the restaurants themselves have provided new updates regarding services.
Restaurants are marked “Dine In” or “Outdoor Only” if they are also offering on location seating indoor or outdoor through reservation. The list is subject to change without notice so please do let us know if you are aware of any changes or additions that need to be updated as we try our best to provide a comprehensive list as much as possible.
PRO-TIP: Restaurant and retail owners in general, please indicate on your social media platforms if you are open, just doing pickups or deliveries, outdoor seating only or indoor and outdoor. This is the first thing most people are looking for during this time. Pin it at the top or include it in your regular messaging to make it easy to find. Time to take advantage of your social media.
